This page is a tutorial for VirtualCast beginner.
It's a very simple guide focused on “just enjoying VirtualCast.”
First, we recommend you to play Virtual Cast in vanilla flavor.
After that, you can customize VirtualCast with your avatars, stages and more!
Setup your VR HMD and launch “VirtualCast.exe”.
1 SE Volume : Volume for sound effects
2 Guest Volume: Volume for voices of other players
3 Input device: Sound Device
Choose your microphone here.
4 Quality Settings: Chose from different graphics quality settings. Higher quality requires more computing power.
5 Resolution: You can change the screen resolution.
6 Fullscreen: Check the box on to run Virtual Cast in full screen.
7 VR Dashboard(Don't show the VR Dashboard): Disable VR dashboard in VirtualCast
When the box is checked, you can prevent VR dashboard from opening accidentally.
8 Reduce motion sickness (Reduce field of view while moving): When the box is checked, your field of view is reduced while moving with your controller(thus, you are not moving for real). This will help mitigate the VR motion sickness.
9 Link Twitter (API link): Connect with your Twitter
You can connect your Twitter account to Virtual Cast. By doing so, you can see tweets with a certain hashtag in the form of falling texts and comment cards within Virtual Cast. You can also see images posted with a certain hashtag in VirtualCast. When you use picture camera to take a photo in VirtualCast, you can post it to Twitter from within Virtual Cast.
10 Sound buffer(Value of 1 to 99) : Set a value between 1-99.
If you feel some lag in VirtualCast, please change this value.
If your internet speed is fast, you can set a smaller value to shorten the lag.
If your internet speed is not quite good, please set a higher value for stable sound stream (at the cost of more lag).
When Virtual Cast lags by slow internet connection, your HMD FPS does not suffer, however movements, voices and sounds from other players will stutter.
11 Restore default (Delete cache and reset): Cache clear button.
12 Close : Back to title screen.
Open [Do not broadcast] tab and set your nickname in [Nickname (Max 20 letters) field.
If you are watching some Virtual Cast stream and want to join that room, set the room ID of the room in [Destination Studio ID (6 letters)].
Press [Enter Studio]
When the “Ready!” is displayed on the screen, put on your VR HMD.
In the HMD, you will see “Calibration” information board.
Hold both controllers on hands, stand up and relax. Pull the triggers on both controllers simultaneously.
Now you are standing in the Virtual Cast stage.
